Hoshi no Ame – Tsuki no Geboku

For when you literally want to eat someone!Dirty-minded readers beware! This is some crazy shit! Don’t miss it!

So I don’t often have WTF-moments when I read manga, but this really takes the cake with all the cream you can find. The basic concept is, that we follow a team of humanoid beings with supernatural abilities through their adventures. When we meet Sauzon who is looking for a werewolf as some kind of entrance exam into the Monster Talented Service Company. I don’t think I have to say any more. Has anyone seen The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? Yeah, just like that.

I really thought I should wait a little longer with a review, only 2 chapters aren’t much, but holy shit, don’t miss out on this glorious freakiness!

This series seems to live by the slogan of “A little bromance never hurt nobody”: Vi has the constant urge of eating Sauzon, and Sauzon has a poisonous body, that only one special person can survive. Lovely, isn’t it? And to top it all off, it also makes them obsessed with his flesh.

Now, I’m not going to say this is yaoi. But. Well.

The art style is a pretty clear shojo-style, with cool dress-ups for all the characters. It’s pretty easy to follow and actually really fun to look at. The artwork seems well-practiced and is really appealing.

So, would you like it? Did you like OHSHC? Then yes, most likely. Do you prefer Hellsing? Maybe not so. This is a really fluffy and sweet supernatural manga with cotton-candy clouds in the licorice-dark sky, where it rains raspberry rain.
